Bridges In this work bridge is used as a metaphor: the paper on which
the work is done and, indeed, the very frame itself are both suspended as
bridges between different planes. Various bridge images also appear: some
popular -such as the Brooklyn Bridge- and others, the Cherry Street Bridge and
the Stony Creek Bridge are more obscure.
