This once was a grand house in Antigua, Guatemala. It was ruined during the 1976 earthquake and was never renovated because they have very strict laws about having to repair a building to its original state. The owners, Guatemalans, were never wealthy enough to do so.
This year, 2003, some foreigners bought it and are now rebuilding it.
