Fork in the Road

                Standing at a crossroads
                Deciding....
                On one hand there is the right way,
                One the other, the wrong.
                Glancing to the left
                Evil tempts me with unbearable pleasures,
                Unimaginable delights.
                Glancing to the right
                A rainbow caps glories to behold.
                Soft, green bladed grass pokes through
                Chocolate cake soil.
                Whipped cream soil
                Tops the rock candy mountains.
                Paradise on earth.
                I shut my eyes and point to my
                Destination.
                My eyes open to a cowering finger
                Pointing to a path not beaten
                I cower too,
                Not knowing
                What to expect.
