Rêves Canadiens
-When only Ice can wake your soul-
When men Sell their souls, and then despise,
Salvation lies in angel eyes,
A blessing coming from the skies,
It snows.
And then It snows,
And then it snows,
and then it snows.
When sounds pollute, and are too loud,
and will not stop, they are too proud,
And when overwhelmed by mud and crowd,
Rebirth comes in form of cloud,
And silences them with heavy shroud.
And then it snows,
And then it snows,
and then it snows.
When brimstone skies lead in the day,
And all our sights are dull and grey,
And you can't think in this cluttered fray,
And suicide's the only way,
And then it snows,
And then it snows,
and then it snows.
And on every corner stands a Whore,
A little girl, but girl no more,
They say she's ashen to the core,
If so, then she knows what's in store.
And when dust sweeps in and burns your eyes,
And everybody sides, and spies,
the gears of heaven are gummed up with lies,
And the world is plague and tsetse flies.
But then it snows,
And then it snows,
And then it snows,
And then it snows.
Its purity mends the tear,
And overwhelming, stops the stare,
It sobers you up, and covers your wear,
It brings you to, with a cold white glare,
And wakes you up in the Angel's Lair,
Refreshed, Renewed, Pure, and bare.
It snows.
