Amber Guardian Representing the air element, the dragonfly has for the
artist associations with images of transience and change: summer days of
childhood, homecomings and reunions. The dragonfly also represents the memory of
the artist's parental grandfather who was a guiding spirit and guardian to the
young, as parent, teacher, principal and elder (both church leader and community
sage.)
