Les Rêves Canadiens

Puppet Masters are all of us. The sins of the father are passed on to the son. It is so easy to put the blame on our parents, but there comes a time when we must realize that we play a part too.
                   Close to the End
                     Living Ghost

My father told me about his father
My granddad could sit with his gun
He could wait silent in a meadow
                 Till the rabbits decided
                 To gamble with fate

                 My father told me
Progress is those things a woman wants
                 A thought that haunts
My world like my grandfather's ghost
                 Blame with humour
                 Waiting for fate

Dad dressed me in jeans one day
                 And threw Mom's necktie away
                 He couldn't always be there
                 But he was there once
                 Now he's here always
