Les Rêves Canadiens

        Wandering Soul

Walking through a cemetery night after night
When the sun goes down, on shines her light
Lantern in hand, dress of pure white
But she is death to this world's sight

        Breathe in the smoke
        Walk through the flame
        She'll do anything to
        Get her life back again

        This soul is tortured
        But no one can see
They just go on their merry way
        "How could they forget me?"

        She wishes she didn't
        Make the mistake that day
        Death by a knife
She just wanted to go away

She lives in a distant world
        Of lost and wandering souls
        Neither in heaven nor hell
        Nor where the bell tolls

       A beautiful girl
       But she lost it all
       That night, her last
       When darkness did fall

Forever lost in a place unknown
Now the place she calls her home
       Encased by wrought iron fences
Claustrophobia is a very good friend
She wants out into the real world
But now she's stuck here, no end
Rattling the cage she's caught in
But nothing will let her free again

       She's as miserable in death
       As she was in life
       All because of...
       Death by a knife
