The future was always thought to be the focus of our society. At least that is the way it seemed when listening to Ronald Raygun as the spokesperson for GE in the fifties. The native North Americans had a far different interpretation. In that culture and others around the globe seven generations into the past and seven generations into the future was the focus. Responsibility. The ability to respond to all situations. The Hopi word Hakomi means how I stand in relation to all these realms.
