Don't Screw a Friendship
Before I accuse you of anything,
You better tell me
what to say when I hear your explanation.
After I say,
What it is that's bothering me,
You better explain how you ever believed
In love.
There I said it:
L-O-V-fucking E
Cause if we were married or even going steady,
You would never get a way with feeling like you do.
But I guess that's what I'm here for.
Best friends; that's how you put it.
No sex, no emotion.
Just the underlying impression
that we would never.
Never.
Before you accuse me,
of having no emotion.
I'll state for the record that it doesn't concern
Me.
Call the cops cause it's getting pretty rowdy.
I'll send the neighbors to the store for a reason.
Cause you can't buy a single word
That's worth it, that sells.
Just throw it back to me,
And pause for a moment.
You can keep me from laughing.
I never thought of crying.
Now you've blown the whole thing with the smallest slight of hand.
Soul mates, that's how you put it.
No lust, no emotion,
Just the underlying tension,
coupled with the impression,
That we shouldn't have answered
The question.
Before we blame anyone,
Trust in the words,
that don't come from simple explanations.
Like: That's what I'm here for.
There I said it.
L-O-V-Fucking E.
