A SINGLE DOOR OPENS
I'm on 'that bus' again
My eyes watching again,
Girls collared beside
Women independent near me.
I seldom mention their names,
Walking and dreaming one name.
Watching what was, a patch of flowers
This was us, the growth of one flower.
Cherishing her, and ambitious woman.
Mommy is also an ambitious woman.
Message: Be drawn to fruitful attributes, so you will have lasting and powerful memories.
LIPS
She reminds me of nothing
However, within this flash,
I am thinking of something.
"Please come and see me."
A voice with concerns,
"What should I wear?"
With "is this a date?"
And "what will we do?"
Silence on the phone,
She really hates this.
She thinks during pauses,
Am I bothering him
Will he call me again?
"Wear what you like,
And naturally, it's a date"
I light my expectations,
Darkness is unmasked
Words are travelling.
I speak three bars
Listening to the pitch,
Adjusting the sound slightly
To the applauds of her music.
She sews words to my ears,
With thread that makes
No promises.
There she is:
She slyly acts,
Feeling the air,
Trusting her spirit,
Wanting to be here,
Reacting with smiles.
Speech becomes kisses,
I pour the apple juice,
She never saw me again.
Message: Communication connects us. If we say what we mean, there are no surprises.
BETRAYAL
He steadily tried,
To fatten his wallet
To equip his family
To fit his duty,
Become an image.
Without money,
His plans feeble
His success difficult.
A camel (rope) through
A bent needle.
Success blocked.
His wife gossiped,
Ladies criticized,
His form muddied.
His image stolen.
Mental poverty,
Concerns for his family.
He craved to carve his calling
By pushing the plans he produced
But the tension tightly tightened,
Changing his pleasing manner,
Corrupting his fragile honour.
Verbally lashing her
Standing far from shelter,
Dark actions emerge.
He discontinues giving
Freezes his ability to help,
Hardens against his children,
Un-kisses his wife's love.
His image reads, `for self.'
Message: To be discarded by one's family is a great inner torture.
