Birds, Lilies, and Life

        Behold the fowls for they sow not as man,
        and neither do they reap nor gather seeds;
        yet God Almighty feedeth them by hand.
        Does He consider not your worldly needs ?

        And which of you by vainly taking thought
        can add one cubit unto life's few years ?
        Yet Solomon in all his glory wrought
        was not arrayed as lilies God revers.

        If God so clothed the lilies of the field
        which are today and on the morrow burn,
        what more to you would He not gladly yield ?
        Oh ye of little faith have much to learn!
