God's Bonfires

                God's building bonfires
                in the sky
                He gathers kindling

                and breaks it into tiny pieces
                some fall down below
                to pierce the earth

                He lights it
                and the voices of tiny explosions
                can be heard
                hotly chattering

                Later,
                he douses his creations
                with rain
